Wilde Side

The Wilde brothers are addicted to the rush of adventure. But one of them is about to discover that it’s sink or swim, when passion and politics collide…

Whitewater rafting guide Sawyer Wilde has taken his share of inexperienced adventure seekers through the rapids of Idaho’s Salmon River, so his next group should pose no problems—even if it includes a presidential hopeful and his sexy, outspoken aide. After all, it’s just a campaign photo-op for the congressman. Until a series of minor mishaps takes a sinister turn…

Devin Lockhart has one job on the rafting trip: to make her boss look both presidential and relatable. And no matter how distractingly attractive their guide is, she plans to do it well. But as danger stalks them through every bend in the river, Devin must put her life—and the congressman’s—in Sawyer’s capable hands. Because surviving the trip is only the beginning of a deadly ride…

Game of Vengeance

An eye for an eye, blood for blood.

UCLA student Cass Turner was hoping to move on from the family business—but when the business is professional assassination, that’s easier said than done. And sleeping with the man she was supposed to kill only complicates things. Her relationship with Nick Kosta, a lieutenant in LA’s largest crime family, was supposed to be no-strings-attached fun. But if the two of them want to stay alive, they’ll have to keep each other close.

Nick’s traitorous cousin, Isaiah, is out for blood, so Cass can’t afford any distractions as they try to hunt him down. Yet she can’t help puzzling over Nick’s motives—does he really share her deepening feelings or does he just feel responsible for her? And if their relationship is for real, will they even have a future? Because with their enemies several steps ahead of them, one false move could bring disaster for everyone Cass holds dear...and in this game of cat and mouse, no one will leave unscathed.

EXCERPTS from Game of Vengeance

I can’t stop the giddy joy rising in my chest and smile. A normal life. I get to go back to a normal life. Or as normal as I get. “Four. If they have the last courses I need to graduate during the summer term, I’ll be done by September.” Then I have to worry about getting a job, what to do with the rest of my life, and my lack of work history. Somehow I don’t think putting assassin on my resume will score me any interviews.

His hand drifts farther, brushing over my neck and along the faint scar left by Josef, a member of the family who tried to kill me on Isaiah’s orders. The doubts stir from their slumber at Nick’s constant touch tonight. His attention should make me happy. I am happy. I step back and tell those doubts to shut up.

He studies me a minute more, the light on the little porch buzzing when another fly gets trapped. It’s so damn loud, that buzzing, filling the silence. “Fine,” he says. “I get a copy of your schedule?”

The worry line between his brows makes my heart sputter just as badly as when he calls me “love,” only in an entirely different way. “Yes. A copy of the schedule, and anything else you think I need to stay safe. Except a babysitter. I’ve still got Josef’s knife.” Somewhere. It’s probably buried in a bag at Nick’s.

“I’m getting you your own. Something that fits your hand better.” He picks up my hand, holding it palm out, and uses his thumb to trace the creases.

My excitement dims a smidge. Carrying my own weapon is permanent, one that speaks of Nick’s faith that I can handle myself and the scrapes I get into. It’s also part of the life I’m trying to leave behind, if only Isaiah would pop up from whatever rock he’s hiding under.

And I wonder, not for the first time, if staying with Nick means I can’t shed that identity. If it’ll dog my steps like an unfriendly ghost.

LADY LOST by Jane Goodger

GENRE: Historical Romance

Seek, and love will find . . .

All Marcus Granton wants is to be left alone to lick his wounds after the humiliating scandal of his wife’s death in another man’s bed. Secluded in his moldering seaside estate on the cliffs of the North Sea, he suddenly finds himself host to Lady Lilian Martin, one small child, and an annoying cache of servants all bent on ruining his solitude. Seems the lady got herself into a bit of a pickle and is accused of murder, of all things. Now she must rely on him for protection—and to keep his thoughts and hands away from her delectable body.

Lilian has no intention of spending any more time with the insufferable Lord Marcus Granton than she has to. But at every turn, circumstances force her into his company, and by the time she’s ready to make her escape, it's far too late for her . . . and her heart.

Lilian would never forget the first time she encountered Marcus Dunford. He was naked and glistening with sweat and the most glorious thing she had ever seen.

Not entirely naked. Had that been the case, she might have fainted dead away and been discovered, no doubt from the thump that would have sounded when she hit the marble floor.

If only her mother could live a few years longer, the girls would be financially set. Their grandmother had settled quite a large sum of money aside for her only grandchildren, but it would only be available to them after they turned twenty-five, and that was seven long years away. Lilian would have happily lived in Cornwall in their little manor house if only her mother would live just a bit longer. But she would n

Which was why Lilian would say yes if the Duke of Weston proposed and also why, when she saw him talking to another gentleman in the hall, she quickly ducked into the nearest room and hid. Not very adult of her, but there it was. And there she was when two strapping young men entered the room, unbeknownst to Lilian, bragging about which one could do more push-ups.

Lilian had hidden herself behind the curtains of a bow window and was quite obscured by bushes from anyone who might pass by outside and by the heavy velvet curtain from anyone inside. What she hadn’t realized was how very warm she would be in her little hothouse of a hiding place. She quickly became drowsy, and fell asleep, only to be awakened by the low tones of two men, one of whom was counting.

The Bridesmaids’ Checklist: Laura’s Wedding
by K.T. Castle

GENRE: New Adult Chicklit Romance

Kassandra is a single, independent woman who prides herself on her own success. But when she’s asked by her best friend Laura to be the Maid of Honor in her wedding, Kassandra finds herself questioning her lifestyle. Helping Laura plan the wedding is no problem—she’s done it before for all their other friends. The first time was a blast, the second super fun, but doing it without receiving any help from the rest of the girls gets old really fast.

The whole event kicks off with the worst kind of surprise when Kassandra discovers who her friend's fiancΓ© really is, and she's torn between supporting Laura's future happiness and hiding the deeply buried, intimate past she shares with the groom-to-be. Struggling to be the bigger person and do all the hard work on her own, Kassandra finds surprising comfort in Josh, the best man in the wedding and someone she's been avoiding for years. He's charming, thoughtful, handsome, and the worst kind of womanizer, but she just can't seem to stay away. All the while, Kassandra can't help wondering if the wedding could be any more clichΓ©—until she finds unexpected ways to change things up a bit.

Excerpt Two:

From Chapter 11

“Why are you here, Josh?” I couldn't hold back my curiosity any longer.

“What do you mean?”

He seemed completely caught off guard by my direct question, and I had to remind myself that he couldn’t see inside my head. I really didn’t know what I wanted to hear, but Edward’s words kept coming back to me. Maybe Josh only wanted to sleep with me, nothing else—although it seemed like a lot of trouble for only a night of pleasure.

“Do you really only care about getting into my pants?” I asked, bordering somewhere between a pleading glance and a glare.

Josh seemed to relax a bit before he answered me. “You know I do. But not in the way that moron phrased it. I don’t want you thinking about it like that.”

“You have no idea what I’m thinking,” I quipped.

“I don’t,” Josh said quietly. “I wish I had a clue.” Then he stepped closer to me and tilted his head. “And obviously you don’t know how I feel about you, either.”

“Then explain it to me.” I didn’t try to back away from him this time.

This time he looked at me with different eyes. I didn’t see myself broken in them anymore.

Anniversary Sale Blitz: RAINE, a New Adult Romance by USA Today Bestselling Author J.C. Valentine

Raine Forester was an average girl leading an average life. She slipped beneath everyone's radar, until Camron Moss, the most popular guy in school, took interest in her and changed everything.

Some acts are unforgivable.

Raine thought she'd been accepted. She thought she was one of them. She thought she was in love... until one moment made her realize she'd trusted the wrong person. Lies are told, hearts get broken, secrets are revealed, and sometimes, true love is found in the least likely places.

Warning: RAINE contains adult situations some readers may find offensive. This is a deeply emotional story that contains violence, explicit sex, strong language, and is not considered suitable for readers under 18.

Raine was living the dream. A carefully manufactured dream where Jarret was her man, they were a family, and most importantly, they were happy.
And they were happy.
Even steel wool wouldn’t be strong enough to scrub the smile from her face. It felt permanently etched there, and it was a wonderful feeling.
Splaying his hands over her stomach, Jarret quietly sang the song in her ear, his hot breath whispering across her flesh. The lyrics made her flush, but not from embarrassment. The naughty, forbidden, intimate words said from one lover to another made Jarret’s desires painfully clear. He wanted her, was telling her what he wanted to do with her, to her… and she wasn’t saying no.
Her body was responding to his words, every cell lighting on fire with a craving for him, and him alone. She shouldn’t want him the way she did. Not after Camron. Not just because of whom he was to Jarret, but also because of what he had done to her. He’d tarnished her—body, mind, and soul—and she’d never thought she’d be able to put that kind of trust in another man again. Especially not so soon.
But Jarret was different. He was unexpected. She thought she’d put up boundaries, fortifying them with hated memories, but her walls were no match for someone like him. Jarret was the exception to the rule…
…and she was perilously close to falling for him.
Nuzzling her cheek against his, Raine closed her eyes and inhaled the clean scent of Jarret’s aftershave mixed with the bitter smell of beer on his breath. She’d never thought she’d think the smell of beer was sexy, but Jarret could make anything sexy, and it made her want to tear his clothes off and do bad things to him.
Yep, this pregnancy thing was seriously jacking with her hormones. Down, girl.
“You’re so sexy, Raine. So round and beautiful.”
Round? Raine was sure there was a compliment in there somewhere. The edges of her dress brushed the backs of her stocking-covered knees as they swayed and Raine listened closely to his words.
“If you’d let me, I’d take you right here, right now.”
Eyes snapping open, Raine glanced around. Here, in the middle of a trendy sports bar slash restaurant? “The floors are covered in peanut shells.”
“Then we’d do it on a table. They’re sturdy,” he said, turning his face toward hers and skimming his lips up her jawline.
A shiver tracked through her. She shouldn’t like the sound of that, being taken on a tabletop, so rough and crude and dirty, but she did. It was far too easy to picture it, and that’s why she had to make him see reason. “There are people everywhere,” she argued. “They’d see everything.”
“Let them watch. Let them see how to take care of a woman. How she moans like she’s going to die when her man knows how to play her body like an instrument.”
Oh, God. Clenching her thighs together, Raine had no doubt that Jarret could make good on his promises. Something told her that he knew his way around a woman very well, and she longed to be under his expert thumb, to experience sex the way it was meant to be experienced.
“You’re drunk,” she said, a low moan escaping her as Jarret ran his tongue up the side of her throat. Unbidden, her head lolled to the side, allowing him fuller access.
Chuckling, Jarret kissed the sensitive flesh just below her nape, stroking it with the tip of his tongue. “Come home with me, Peach. Let me taste how sweet you are.”

1. Describe yourself in three words.  Happy. Friendly. Upbeat.

2. How did you start writing Romance? I read romance for years, ever since I discovered Judith McNaught. I have been writing all my life, newspaper and magazine articles, newsletter for my job at Chase Manhattan Bank in New York City years ago, and I always intended to write a book. In 2010 I went to a panel at the Oklahoma State Library that was featuring local romance authors. I sat there and listened to them and said ‘I can do this.’  I quit my job and began writing. Sold my first book a year later and never looked back.

3. What’s your favorite love scene from a movie?
When Rhett Butler scoops up Scarlett O’Hara in Gone With the Wind and says “By God there will only be two people I my bed tonight,” then races up the stairs to their bedroom. I still get goosebumps thinking about that.

4. What’s your wildest fantasy?

Time travel. As a history major in college, I would love to travel to different time periods to see how the people actually lived, dressed, worked, and ate. We tend to see people from the past like a still life painting because we are looking at drawings or pictures. But they breathed, lived, ate, became ill, fell in love, lost loved ones.

5. If you were to lose one of your senses, which would you rather lose and why?

Probably hearing. Especially with all the noise pollution and trash we’re subjected to on a daily basis. I could live without that.

6. Is there anything else you want your reader to know?

Yes. I love my readers, and I love when I hear from them. One of my favorite emails was from a reader who said one of my series got her through chemotherapy. Nothing beats that.

Boxers or Briefs? Commando

Top or Bottom? Either. Depends on the mood

Pajamas or nude? No pajamas, prefer skimpy underwear.
